Ingredients
  

For the Jam

  • 2 cups strawberries, crushed Make sure to mash them well for a smooth texture.
  • 2 cups cranberries, chopped Fresh or frozen cranberries work well; chop them before use.
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 package fruit pectin Pectin helps the jam to set properly.

Preparation

  • In a large saucepan, combine the crushed strawberries and chopped cranberries.
  • Stir in the sugar and lemon juice, mixing well, and let sit for 10 minutes.

Cooking

  • Add the fruit pectin and bring to a rapid boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly.
  • Once at a full boil, continue to boil for 1 minute. Keep stirring to prevent burning.
  • Remove from heat and skim off any foam that has formed on top.
  • Pour the hot jam into sterilized jars, seal them, and process in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes.
  • Let cool completely before storing.

Notes

Ensure your fruit is ripe and fresh for optimal flavor. If you prefer a thicker jam, you can boil it for an additional minute.
