Equipment

  • Stand mixer with dough hook
  • Mixing bowls
  • Rolling Pin
  • 9×13-inch baking dish
  • Measuring Cups and Spoons

Ingredients

  • 2.25 tsp instant yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk (110°F)
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour (plus more if needed)
  • royal blue gel food coloring
  • 10 Oreos, crushed
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp softened butter (for spreading)
  • 0.5 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter, softened (for frosting)
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • extra crushed Oreos and chocolate chip cookies for topping

Instructions

  • In a stand mixer bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit 5 minutes until foamy. Add eggs and melted butter and mix. Gradually add flour, mixing until combined. Add blue gel food coloring and mix until evenly colored.
  • Switch to dough hook and knead 3–4 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in greased bowl, cover, and let rise 1 hour until doubled.
  • Mix crushed Oreos, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl.
  • Roll dough into an 18x12-inch rectangle. Spread softened butter evenly over surface and sprinkle Oreo mixture on top.
  • Roll tightly into a log and cut into 12 equal rolls using dental floss or a sharp knife.
  • Pour heavy cream into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Place rolls in pan, cover, and let rise 30 minutes until puffy.
  • Bake at 375°F for 20–25 minutes until lightly golden and centers are set.
  • Beat cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth and fluffy.
  • Cool rolls 10 minutes, frost generously, and top with crushed Oreos and cookie pieces. Serve warm.

Notes

Use fresh instant yeast and warm (not hot) milk around 110°F for proper rising. The heavy cream poured into the pan before baking creates extra soft, pillowy rolls. Gel food coloring works best for a vibrant blue color.
