Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Wooden spoon

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 Tbsp ketchup
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded and divided
  • shredded iceberg lettuce, for topping
  • diced tomatoes, for topping
  • diced red onion, for topping
  • sliced dill pickles, for topping

Instructions

  • In a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until no longer pink. Drain excess grease. Stir in salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Reduce heat to medium-low. Add cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, mustard, and ketchup. Stir until smooth and fully combined.
  • Stir in 1 cup of cheddar cheese until melted. Smooth the top and sprinkle remaining cheese evenly over the surface.
  • Cover skillet for 2–3 minutes or broil for 1 minute until cheese is fully melted and bubbly.
  • Remove from heat and immediately top with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and pickles. Serve hot.

Notes

Add cold toppings right before serving to maintain contrast and prevent excess moisture from thinning the dip.
