Ingredients
- 15.25 oz strawberry cake mix (1 box)
- 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
- 0.25 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 Tbsp milk (whole or 2%)
- 0.25 cup granulated sugar (for rolling)
- 22 chocolate kiss candies, unwrapped
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the vegetable oil and eggs until fully combined.
- Add the strawberry cake mix and the all-purpose flour. Mix until just combined.
- Add the tablespoon of milk and mix until a soft pink dough forms. Do not overmix.
- Scoop about 2 tablespoons of dough, roll into balls, then roll lightly in granulated sugar.
- Cover the dough and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour. This prevents spreading.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment. Bake for 8–10 minutes, until edges are set.
- Immediately press one chocolate kiss into the center of each warm cookie.
- Cool completely on the baking sheet before moving.
