Ingredients
  

For the treats

  • 3 tablespoons butter Used for melting.
  • 1 package (10 oz) marshmallows Marshmallows for binding the treats.
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal Main ingredient for the treats.

For decoration

  • as needed Red food coloring For adding color.
  • as needed Edible decorating gel or strawberry syrup For creating 'blood' effect.

Preparation

  • In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
  • Add the marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth.
  • Remove from heat and add the Rice Krispies cereal, mixing until well coated.
  • Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then use your hands to shape it into brain shapes on a wax paper-lined baking sheet.
  • Use red food coloring mixed with either edible decorating gel or strawberry syrup to create splatters of 'blood' on the 'brains'.
  • Let them set before serving, allowing the treats to firm up.

Notes

These treats can be stored at room temperature in an airtight container for up to a week, or frozen for up to a month. They are versatile and can be made for various occasions by changing shapes and colors.
