Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp silver tequila
  • 2 tbsp orange liqueur (Triple Sec)
  • 3 cups vanilla wafer crumbs
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 tbsp fresh lime zest

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese, lime juice, powdered sugar, tequila, and orange liqueur until smooth and creamy.
  • Stir in vanilla wafer crumbs until a sticky dough forms.
  • Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls using your hands.
  • In a shallow dish, mix white sugar and lime zest. Roll each ball until fully coated.
  • Place balls on a tray and refrigerate for at least 2 hours until firm.
  • Serve chilled and store leftovers in the refrigerator.

Notes

For a non-alcoholic version, replace tequila and orange liqueur with orange juice. Keep refrigerated until serving, as the cream cheese base softens at room temperature. Use finely crushed wafer crumbs for the smoothest texture.
