Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 1/2 cups quick oats
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup red, white, and blue M&Ms

Instructions
 

  • Beat the butter, peanut butter, and both sugars together until smooth and fluffy.
  • Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
  • Stir in baking soda and quick oats until a thick dough forms.
  • Fold in chocolate chips and most of the M&Ms.
  • Scoop rounded portions onto baking sheets and press remaining M&Ms onto the tops.
  • Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes until set.
  • Let cookies rest on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool.
