Equipment

  • Baking sheet Lined with parchment paper
  • Microwave-safe bowls For melting white and milk chocolate
  • Zip-top bag Used as a piping bag for faces

Ingredients

  • 1 pint fresh strawberries, rinsed and dried
  • 8 oz white melting chocolate wafers
  • 1 oz milk or semi-sweet chocolate chips (for faces)
  • Parchment paper

Instructions

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Rinse strawberries and pat completely dry.
  • Melt white chocolate wafers in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  • Dip each strawberry into the melted chocolate, coating almost to the stem. Place on parchment and drag slightly to create a 'ghost tail'.
  • Let chocolate set at room temperature until firm.
  • Melt milk chocolate chips in 20-second bursts until smooth. Transfer to a zip-top bag and snip a tiny corner.
  • Pipe eyes and a spooky oval mouth onto each strawberry. Let set fully, or chill briefly in the fridge.

Notes

For extra spooky flair, use candy eyeballs instead of piping chocolate faces. Kids love the goofy expressions!
